Iron Recovery Technology of Red Mud—A review
نویسندگان
چکیده
RM (red mud), which comes from the Bayer process, has a huge annual output and is harmful to environment. Because of high iron content in RM, process recovery can reduce amount well create economic benefits, so it promising process. The paper focuses on review research method includes physical method, chemical emerging method. By comparing advantages disadvantages these processes, concluded that fluidized bed reduction be rapidly applied industry, but still needs more investigation overcome current technical difficulties near future.

A Review of Technology of Metal Recovery from Electronic Waste
Electronic waste, or e-waste, is an emerging problem with developed nations as with developing nations. In the absence of proper collection and disposal systems, aware‐ ness, and proper regulations, the problem is rather more acute in developing nations. These wastes are environmentally hazardous on one hand and valuable on the other. They contain substantial amount of metal value, including pr...
متن کاملMembrane Technology for the Recovery of Lignin: A Review
Utilization of renewable resources is becoming increasingly important, and only sustainable processes that convert such resources into useful products can achieve environmentally beneficial economic growth. Wastewater from the pulp and paper industry is an unutilized resource offering the potential to recover valuable products such as lignin, pigments, and water [1]. The recovery of lignin is p...
متن کاملFast removal and recovery of congo red by modified iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles
The adsorption and removal of congo red from an aqueous solution by iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) coated with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as adsorbent was reported. The novel magnetic separation was quite efficient for the adsorption and desorption of congo red. The effect of temperature, pH of aqueous medium, and interfering ions on the recovery process were also investigated. The...
متن کاملRecovery of scrap iron metal value using biogenerated ferric iron.
The utility of employing biogenerated ferric iron as an oxidant for the recycling of scrap metal has been demonstrated using continuously growing cells of the extremophilic organism Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans. A ferric iron rich (70 mol%) lixiviant resulting from bioreactor based growth of A. ferrooxidans readily solubilized target scrap metal with the resultant generation of a leachate con...
